THE CHALLENGE
The past-speakers page listed a speaker custom post type alphabetically by full title, but the client wanted last-name ordering — without making the page harder for non-developers to maintain.
MY CONTRIBUTION
Implemented last-name sorting for the Elementor Loop Grid query in a way that keeps day-to-day speaker management unchanged for editors.
OUTCOME
- Speakers listed alphabetically by last name
- Editors add speakers exactly as before — no new fields to remember
